An artesian well is a well that is drilled below the naturally occurring water table, causing natural pressure that pumps the water out with no man-made force applied.

There is a locally famous artesian well about 50 miles from us. The water that flows from it is pure and people flock to it with gallon jugs for free water.

I have completed my list. Now that it's all done, had I been smart I could have done it over 8 days and had 8 blog entries.

Haaaa ha! At least you remember the dogs' names! I can't even do that! And I totally relate to #7!!!! Makes me feel bad, too.

About what you wrote on my blog regarding my fil and tracing back all the words to Greek--He's Lebanese and fully believes anything significant that has happened in the world was done by a Leb man. The past 6 months he's been on a kick about how the Lebs were the creators of the alphabet--not anyone else that has been proven historically accurate. I think he also thinks America was discovered by a Leb. Good times.

What I wonder is, how do people start these businesses? Are they family businesses? Do they have a deep and abiding love for stone? Or routers? Or coat hangers? Or whatever it is? It fascinates me.

That's exactly what I wonder, Gypsy. I was behind birdseyehelicoptertours.com (or something like that) on the way home last night and was like "WOW! This guy has a helicopter tour business. How fricken cool is that??"
