In a Word, Pathetic

It's spring at Beej and Todd's house. It was not made evident to us by the blooming daffodils. It was not brought to our attention by the leaves sprouting on the trees. Griffen actually pointed it out to us.

He has seasonal allergies. My dog is allergic to pollen, grass, weeds, cats, tobacco etc. He scratches until he bleeds. He's dopey on Benadryl. Todd's been giving him his antigen shots.

He doesn't feel like himself and as a result he's all up in my grill. He tries to get closer to be, but the satellite dish gets in the way. Instead he rams it into my calves and my shins in his effort to get some love.

Just another few weeks and the worst will be over.

Ohhhhh! I feel so bad for him. Next year, send him here for allergy season. I promise, we'll take excellent, allergen-free care of him!

Can you stand it, Ginny? He's so mopey and dopey. I think a trip to Canada just might be on his agenda for next year. You just need to put up with the tumbleweeds of Labrador hair.

I've never heard of a dog with seasonal allergies. I feel incredibly sorry for him, just from looking at this picture, but I can't help thinking that I guess survival of the fittest no longer applies to domesticated animals. :)

I was searching for pictures of dogs praying and Griffen popped up...I found that interesting all by itself.

I've been a full-time chiropractor since 1993...my main practice is with people, but I work allot with animals also. There may be a way for you to start neutralizing the allergic reactions Griffen is having.

My animal website will be published within the week. If you are interested in having a conversation regarding what might be possible please let me know.

My contact information is listed on my website in the post.

Wishing Griffen well.
