OK, so I finally got off my butt and scanned some photos...
Here they are for your viewing pleasure.
This is a hat that I knitted for my friend Hope. When I first finished knitting the hat, it looked more like this guy's hat:
but after running it through a hot water wash a bunch of times, it ended up like the one in the first picture. Which was a good thing, because I was staring at the thing I'd made, and looking at the picture wondering where I'd gone wrong. Hey hey hey!
This was when I met up with Melissa and Lori at the Cheesecake Factory in Providence. From left to right: Melissa, Lori, David and Eric. I'd already met Melissa, and it was fabulous to see her again, and I was psyched to meet Lori for the first time along with her friends David and Eric.
This is me and Lori at Water Place Park in Providence.
This is me and Melissa, also at Water Place Park.
Do you see the thing floating in the water just to the right of Melissa? That's actually a torch. In the summer and fall, the city of Providence holds an event called Water Fire. They light these torches at dark, and you can walk along the river, listen to music and see all the fires all lit up. Todd and I had gone to the last one of the season on 30 October, and took a motorized gondola ride down the river along the fires. It was beautiful, and I can't wait til the spring when the city holds Water Fire again.
This is Melissa and Lori at Water Place park. As you can see, we stood around taking a lot of pictures to document our meeting up.
Melissa, me and Lori. It was such a great way to spend an afternoon, I wish we all had more time to spend.
